Union County closes schools due to illness

Union County Public Schools will be closed the next two days due to a large number of students who have been hit with illness, school officials confirmed today.

This week, health officials said this year's flu season is off to an early start, and it could be a bad one. Higher-than-normal reports of flu have come from Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas, they said...
