Meningitis outbreak: TN patient's diagnosis came at 106 days

Infections in Tennessee now total 145. Four of the new cases are injection site infections. One is a patient sickened with meningitis in addition to a surgical site infection.
?The patient had an injection in early September and diagnosis was in mid-December, a period of 106 days,? said Woody McMillan, a spokesman for the Tennessee Department of Health.
This is the longest reported time thus far between exposure and infection with meningitis in Tennessee."
