Legionnaires? outbreak closes Memphis hotel

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WREG/CNN) ? County health officials shut down a hotel in Memphis over a Legionnaires? disease outbreak.

There are five reported cases of the disease from people who stayed at the hotel last month.

The La Quinta Inn, located near Memphis International Airport, will stay closed until officials identify and eliminate the source of the bacteria.

La Quinta corporate has not commented publicly on the outbreak...

An eighth person has been linked to a Legionnaires' disease outbreak at a hotel near Memphis International Airport, Shelby County health officials said Wednesday.

The health department confirmed on its Twitter account that an eighth person has fallen ill with the disease after staying at the La Quinta Inn at at 2979 Millbranch...
