RALEIGH Three more people in North Carolina died from the flu last week, according to the state Department of Health and Human Services.

The death toll from flu has now reached 103 since the season started in the fall. That compares to 59 flu-related deaths last year when the season lasted into May.

Two-thirds of those who have died this year were between the ages of 25 and 64. Young and middle-age adults are more vulnerable to the H1N1 strain that was the dominant form this season, health officials say.
