The influenza A infections fall significantly in Catalonia

The Regional Ministry of Health on Wednesday reported a significant decrease in influenza A infections in Catalonia. Although the H1N1 virus remains a "moderate", the incidence rate shows a "downward trend" to move from 107.3 per 100,000 people affected by last week to 75.3 this week.
Salut also reported that most patients in the last few days have produced a mild flu-like box, with a recovery in a few days, although there have also been serious 752 cases, of whom 635 have been discharged from hospital. Only 26 cases are serious in the ICU, while there have been no deaths caused by this disease, leaving at 42 the death toll.
Contrary to these data, from 23 to 29 December has been an increase in activity in the hospitals and emergency medical centers for children by influenza A. In primary care, following public holidays during this week, activity has declined by 36% over the previous period
