Must be accompanied by health certificates

To further strengthen the implementation of import control eggs, the Administration proposed to "Imported Game, Meat and Poultry Regulations" and "Import and Export Ordinance," the next to meat and poultry import controls extended to cover the eggs.

Under the proposed regulations, the import of poultry eggs is commonly used for human consumption imported shelled or unshelled eggs, including eggs and egg yolk, salted eggs or undercooked eggs (including egg yolk proteins separated) .

Proposed in the proposed Regulation provides that the importer shall be provided each batch of eggs imported approved by the competent authorities of the Director to issue an official export health certificate eggs, or will have to obtain prior approval from the Director written permission.

In addition to health certificate in addition, the person must also obtain from the department by the Director under "Import and Export Ordinance," the issue of import license, can enter the egg. Each batch of eggs imported must be accompanied by import permits and health certificates, and, where necessary, the person must produce import permit and health certificates for inspection.

The Administration also plans to expand the "poultry" within the definition in the proposed Regulation on "poultry" and "eggs" a more comprehensive definition, this definition would include dove, quail, ostriches and eggs of these birds so that all for human consumption imported birds and eggs are subject to appropriate controls.

To broaden the source of our food supply, FHB proposes to extend the proposed Regulation "competent authority" within the definition to "local" instead of "country", so that the Director of the State itself is not in charge of a number of economic system the recognition of the authorities to facilitate the economic system begins with the regulated food imports. This will help spread and develop sources of food supply, increased consumer food choices, and to some extent to help stabilize food prices.
