The flu is stabilized after its peak in February

The evolution of influenza in the current season in Huelva is within normal parameters after the abnormal behavior of the past year by the presence of H1N1 virus, better known as influenza A. Health centers in the province began in early October 2010 the vaccination campaign of the flu, with news that a trivalent vaccine was administered, ie, to protect both the influenza A virus as to two other strains -a second type A and one type B-which are those that have been circulating in the Southern Hemisphere and is also currently circulating in Europe.
In total, the Ministry of Health took 74,610 shots for the province of Huelva, in a joint investment of 8.3 billion euros in Andalusia.
The campaign for the 2010-2011 season has been directed primarily to those over 65 years, even if they are healthy, people of any age with chronic health problems in which the disease can have serious consequences, including severe breathing problems or heart, cancer and immune system disorders or metabolic diseases, to people who are in frequent contact with this group and to health and community services, both for their own protection and to avoid the risk of contagion. All these people are the target population that this campaign also includes pregnant women.
