mainland tourists due to infection H7N9 avian flu deaths in Taipei on the 20th
Xinhua News Agency, Taipei, Jan. 21 (Reporters Cha Wenye and He Zili) - Disease Control, Taiwan authorities announced on the 21st, a mainland tourists from Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province, due to infection of H7N9 avian flu caused severe pneumonia complicated by septic shock, on the 20th Death in Taipei.
It is reported that tourists were 86 year-old male, during the onset of Taiwan travel to the end of December last year and confirmed H7N9 avian influenza infection, the first two cases of H7N9 bird flu in Taiwan imported confirmed.
Taiwan's disease control department, said the case after diagnosis, the patient's health unit that is for general contact with close contacts to keep track of which close contacts (including family members, tour guides, drivers, and other health care professionals and patients with the disease chamber) in there had symptoms related to the test results were negative, to track where they are not found to have an infected person.
