Swine flu test proves negative

HEALTH chiefs said this week tests for the Highland?s only suspected swine flu case have come back negative.

Last week, about 300 businesses in Inverness were issued with advice on how to minimise the impact of a swine flu outbreak after a number of UK cases were confirmed.

Anyone coming back from Mexico and the affected areas of the USA ? including California, Texas, Kansas, New York and Ohio ? who find they have flu symptoms are advised to call their GP during the day or NHS 24 out of hours on 08454 242424.
