GPs should vaccinate themselves against swine flu to convince patients to have the jab, Welsh LMCs believe.
LMC representatives at the conference in Llandudno on Saturday voted unanimously in favour of a motion calling for all health professionals to have the jab to set an example for patients.
GPC Wales chairman Dr David Bailey told GP that the uptake of the jab in Wales was around 75% for GPs and 76% of nurses.
Dr Ian Millington, a GPC Wales negotiator, said he was ?disappointed' by the uptake.
?Some professional groups seemed to be actively campaigning against immunisation,' he said.
He asked: ?How are we supposed to get the message across to our patients with any enthusiasm for patients to be immunised when we as health professionals are not doing it?'
