Today in a meeting with deputy chairman oblpravitelstva Natalia Starshova head of Rospotrebnadzor of Saratov region Alexei Danilov told about the state of infectious diseases in the area in 2009.
Results of the 2009 recorded 635 thousand cases of infectious and parasitic diseases, which is 25% more than in 2008. Danilov noted that significant growth was mainly due to [ARVI] epidemic in November-December. Also in the reporting year not recorded cases of rabies, anthrax, measles, diphtheria.
The epidemiological threshold for influenza and [ARVI] in November last year was exceeded by 400%. All doctors have registered nearly 600 thousand of cases, of which 1 163 people. ached highly flu.
In the field of 191 registered cases of rabies among animals, have suffered from the bite of 7,6 thousand people. 80% of bites are applied stray and domestic dogs.
Asked about measures to deal with such cases Danilov said that "to solve the problem of stray dogs traditionally Saratov administration has not allocated a penny"
Deputy Minister of Health Dmitry Kidron said that in the region there are 1,5 thousand infectious patients, but in Tatischevskom, Saratov, Ershovskom, Ozinskom, Rivne, Baltayskom Chyrvonaarmeiski and they do not exist at all. Also in the Red Army, and area Tatischevskom no doctors.
At the end of the meeting Starshova advised the heads of "problem" areas to address the lack of doctors.
