summaries

I think, it would be very useful to have more summaries of
newspaper articles or scientific papers.
We read many of them here, but many can't be read because they
are too long.
Typically we have one page here for an article.
Even the abstracts of the papers are often too long. And they
may contain non-panflu issues too, which could be split.

Once someone has read and understood such an article, he/she could
write a summary here and others need only read the summary first
and only if interesting for the reader will he/she read the whole article.

Suppose, there are 20 people here who read the articles,
and we share the work, that would make 19 summaries to read
for one summary to write !
And that would be a good opportunity to join forces with other
forums so to further reduce this ration.

Ideally there would be summaries of several lengths, e.g. 1 line, 5 lines,
(25 lines) and links from summaries to full articles and vice versa.
