Typhoid, Malaria & Flu hit Jonglei
Thursday, 15 October 2009 11:33 .The Governor of the Jonglei State, Koul Manyang, says there is a high rate of Typhoid, Malaria, Flu, and other diseases in rural areas of the State. Governor Manyang told Miraya FM that the state and southern governments were working hard to improve the health situation.



Meanwhile, the Minister of Health in the Upper Nile State, Stephen Lor, says his ministry making efforts to control the outbreak of the Kalazar disease and reduce the continuous spread of Malaria in the State.



He said the Government of Southern Sudan was leading collaborative efforts with the International and Non-Governmental Organizations to spread public awareness, and carry out campaigns against polio and infectious diseases in all the ten southern States.
