The Committee of Health and Population at the National

Parliament demanded from the Federal Ministry of Health to present a detailed report on the current situation of the swine flu disease in the country after news of availability of new cases of the disease in the Sudan.

The acting Head of the said Committee, Dr. Atiyat Mustafa said, in exclusive statement to Sudan Vision yesterday, that her committee has received initial report from the Federal Ministry of Health last Thursday indicating that they will study it and respond. She said the committee will ask the Ministry, in case the report fails to meet all the queries for acquaintance request to the Parliament after the endorsement of the budget.



She revealed that the total cases of the disease are 13 including 4 new ones that emerged during the past two days affirming that her committee has been assured on the safety measures and precautions done by the Federal Ministry of Health at the Country's entrances.



Dr. Atiyat denied any intention to close the schools warning the citizens from the crowded areas and calling on the ministry to conduct more measures and enlightenment through the mass media.
