State officials confirm four more H1N1 related deaths

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - State officials confirmed on Monday that four more deaths in our state can be blamed on the H1N1 virus.

The Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals estimates more than 188,000 Louisiana residents have had the virus, or have it right now.

One of the deaths was reported in the seven parish region that includes Lafayette. None of the deaths were reported to be in the Lake Charles region.

These four deaths bring the death toll in the state to 39.
