The number of patients suffering from hand-foot-and-mouth disease(HFMD), which often affects infants and small children, has hit a seven-year high in South Korea.

Citing analysis of medical data provided by 99 hospitals nationwide, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention tentatively estimated that 43 of one-thousand outpatients were suspected cases of HFMD last week. That?s 18-point-five percent larger than a week earlier and 40 percent more than two weeks ago...
