SEOUL, April 24 (Yonhap) -- Bird flu has broken out at two chicken farms in South Korea's largest egg production area for the first time in seven months, quarantine officials said Friday.
The highly pathogenic avian influenza, type H5N8, was found in chicken samples picked up from chicken farms in Pocheon, a city northeast of Seoul in Gyeonggi Province, which produces about 10 percent of the country's total egg output, they said.
