Ebola Update
A Nigerian national was found dead in a Johannesburg guest house this morning. He arrived in South Africa last night. The patient had a headache, fever and abdominal pains. There was also evidence of bleeding. Ebola is highly unlikely since the outbreak is essentially over in Nigeria. Alternative causes to be tested for at the National Institute for Communicable Diseases are meningococcal sepsis and especially malaria.
