Soccer-HK footballers get H1N1 at Asian Youth Games

SINGAPORE, June 22 (Reuters) - Hong Kong's footballers have become the second team at the Asian Youth Games in Singapore to be quarantined after three players got the H1N1 flu, Singapore's health minister said on Monday.
Health Minister Khaw Boon Wan told reporters the Hong Kong team had stayed in their hotel and volunteered for tests after two teammates tested positive for the virus.
A young Philippine footballer also developed the flu at the Games last week, leading his teammates to be quarantined and matches against the Philippines to be postponed.
The Philippines has seen the first Asian H1N1 death, health officials said in Manila on Monday. [ID:nFLU]
The Asian Youth Games, which involves around 1,400 teenagers competing in nine sports, are a warm-up for the inaugural Youth Olympic Games that Singapore will host in 2010.
