Total in 2010. preventive vaccination against avian influenza has subjected more than 5.5 million domestic birds revaccinated nearly 500 thousand units. In Novosibirsk and Omsk regions, as well as in the Altai Krai and Altai Republic, through the territory of which lie along the path of seasonal migrations of birds, vaccination against the virus A (H5N1) was carried out from the federal budget. In other regions of the SFD had immunized by their stockpiles of vaccine.

During the year, regular monitoring of the epizootic situation of avian influenza in all of the Siberian federal subjects. The presence of antibodies in the blood of wild birds for influenza A (H5N1) detected in 258 samples in the Altay and Krasnoyarsk regions, Tuva and Buryatia. At present epizootic situation is under control. As of November 1, 2010. flu cases among poultry and wild birds in the region are not registered, noted in the management of Rosselkhoznadzor.
