La joven Maloti T., de 29 a?os y que permanec?a ingresada en el hospital Joan XXIII desde mediados de noviembre a causa de la gripe A, falleci? en la ma?ana de ayer. Maloti viv?a en la urbanizaci?n Cases Roges de Banyeres del Pened?s, donde la noticia del fallecimiento ha causado consternaci?n ya que la mujer estaba muy integrada en el n?cleo.
Desde su ingreso en el hospital en la noche del 21 de noviembre la joven present? s?ntomas de gravedad, aunque se desconoce si sufr?a alguna otra complicaci?n. Al estar embarazada, el pasado 23 de noviembre se decidi? practicarle una ces?rea para poder extraer al ni?o de forma prematura ya que s?lo ten?a 30 semanas y podr?a verse afectado por la enfermedad de la madre.

El peque?o pudo nacer con vida y con poco m?s de un kilo. A pesar de que estuvo unos minutos sin respirar los m?dicos consiguieton estabilizarlo y desde entonces permanece en la unidad de cuidados intensivos del hospital de Tarragona. La madre de Maloti, explicaba ayer que el ni?o est? en buen estado, ante los rumores en la urbanizaci?n de que podr?a haber empeorado.
Los padres de la joven, un matrimonio belga que lleva casi tres d?cadas instalado en la urbanizaci?n de Banyeres del Pened?s, evitaron hacer declaraciones aunque se?alaron que en la noche del viernes pudieron ver todav?a con vida a su hija en el hospital Joan XXIII de Tarragona, a donde acudieron a visitarla como practicamente hac?an cada d?a en las ?ltimas semanas. Seg?n ha podido saber el Diari es la segunda hija que pierden a causa de enfermedad.
La joven a mediados de noviembre comenz? tener tos intensa y sufrir fiebre alta y acudi? en un primer momento a la Policlinica Comarcal de El Vendrell, donde no la habr?an detectado ninguna anomal?a grave de salud m?s all? de un refriado. Sin embargo tres d?as despu?s y derivada desde el m?dico de Banyeres acudi? al Hospital de El Vendrell, donde inicialmente tampoco se le diagnstic? ninguna enfermedad de gravedad.
Dos d?as
A los dos d?as y tras volver a acudir al hospital de El Vendrell se decret? el traslado al hospital Joan XXIII potr su situaci?n de embarazo, donde se le diagnostic? que padec?a la gripe A. La joven ya estaba en situaci?n grave y ante la complicaci?n de la enfermedad se decidi? realizar la ces?rea que ha permitido salvar la vida del peque?o.
A principios de diciembre el estado de Maloti empeor? y sus pulmones pr?cticamente dejaron de funcionar. Un medicamento procedente de Inglaterra consigui? frenar la evoluci?n de la enfermedad, pero su estado segu?a siendo grave. En la ma?ana de ayer la joven mor?a.
Est? previsto que el pr?ximo lunes se practique la autopsia del cuerpo para determinar las causas exactas del fallecimiento. El funeral podr?a oficiarse en Banyeres del Pened?s el pr?ximo martes.
