Since Wednesday, more nobody can enter the Hospital complex Jean-Monnet without putting a mask on the face. The seven sick were put in isolation. Two patients more seriously attained are in intensive care nowadays. Obligatory mask. Since Wednesday evening, more nobody can enter the Hospital complex Jean Monnet d' Epinal without putting a mask on the face. Visitors, patients or members of the personnel, everybody has the right to it. Why? Because of influenza H1N1. The virus which had triggered off a worldwide psychosis one year ago, is back in effect in Vosges. One take a census of seven cases nowadays in the hospital of Epinal. The most part of the sick came of them the same in emergency.
The virulence of the influenzal symptoms or their fragile state of health (respiratory or cardiac insufficiency) led to hospitalize them to keep them under medical surveillance.
? Ordinarily, is enough a visit to his medicated doctor and some days of repose in the home. It is the normal mode of taking care. Last year, there was several million cases of influenza H1N1 and almost entirety of the patients stayed at home ?, specifies Thierry Gebel, the manager of the CH Jean Monnet. Among the seven cases taken a census by influenza H1N1, it there also patients who were already hospitalized when they introduced the first symptoms of influenza. ? It does not mean as far as they contracted it in the hospital because it is needed five days of incubation before illness appears. In any case, our establishment is an opened place, with visitors, and there are out of necessity transmissions of virus. Where from the necessity to take fast measures of prevention and protection ?, explains the manager of the spinalien hospital. As soon as they cross the door of its establishment, it is therefore obligatory to carry a mask but also to wash his hands with a hydroalcoholic product. All that gives a small air of catastrophic film in CH JeanMonnet. ? These measurements do not have nothing special and they are accepted well by the public.
There is no panic ?, asserts nevertheless Thierry Gebel.
