Confirmed case of TB in Greenwood District 50, DHEC says

The Department of Heath and Environmental Control confirmed a case of tuberculosis at a Greenwood District 50 school Tuesday.

DHEC said the confirmed case involves a case of TB in an adult at Greenwood District 50.

DHEC is conducting a contact investigation including Early Childhood Center, Lakeview, Pinecrest, Rice, Springfield, Woodfields, Brewer, Northside and Westview.

?At this time, DHEC?s investigation does not indicate the need for any students to be tested,? community services coordinator Johnathan L. Graves stated. ?However, this is an active investigation and new information could cause that to change. Those individuals who need to be tested have been notified...
