JEDDAH ? A Saudi poet who contracted the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) has accused the Ministry of Health of falsifying records on the number of patients afflicted with the disease.

He also threatened to reveal the actual figures on the increasing number of patients with MERS.

Mohammad Al-Dehaimi told Al-Hayat daily that he had a 39.9C fever and tests showed he had contracted the disease...

The outbreak is clearly being charged with political contents, as I suspected since the start of crisis in 2013: the situation is fluid, society has its own long repressed turmoils and it is ready to explode.

If at least health Sector will not start as soon as possible to make things clear, all the system may suffer for a sudden breakdown as seen in neighboring Egypt, Tunisia, Libya.
