A spokesperson for the South Korean Ministry of Health and Welfare told local daily Korea Times, Saudi Arabia would assist in its fight against the virus.
?A team of infectious disease experts from the Saudi Ministry of Health will arrive in Korea to exchange experiences and knowledge about the deadly virus,? the spokesman was quoted as saying.
In South Korea, MERS is so far contained to hospitals, which are considered to be of a much higher standard than in Saudi Arabia.
Abdulqader Al Haidar, a professor at King Saud University?s faculty of medicine, told Arab News the Saudi Ministry of Health would likely benefit more from the exchange of information than the South Koreans because of their sophisticated health systems and ability to identify new cases quickly.

Saudi Arabia has been criticised by WHO for its poor sterilisation and detection, particularly during a hospital outbreak in April-May last year.
