JEDDAH ? About 5.3 million pilgrims have arrived in the Kingdom to perform Umrah since the season started last December, the Haj Ministry announced Monday quoting official statistics. The ministry expected more pilgrims to arrive during Ramadan starting this week. Meanwhile, the Health Ministry said it was continuing its preparations for the Ramadan Umrah through more precautionary measures against infectious diseases... It said so far, no cases of the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS)-coronavirus have been detected among the pilgrims . ? SG
