The weather forecast is for only scattered showers and later clearing. Chance of rain = 30% . See attachment. And for this they are cancelling classes.

The Ministry of Education and suspension of classes tomorrow, Wednesday in the provinces of the valley of the branch and the Khyber and Hinakiyah of the Madinah region.
explained the official spokesman for the Ministry of Education Mohammed bin Saad Aldkhina that the suspension of classes in the provinces and sectors referred to came under the guidance of directors of Education, in coordination with the concerned authorities, noting that the education departments in the regions and governorates that are exposed to rain exercise of the powers delegated to the managers of Education to suspend or continuation study after coordination with the concerned authorities as required by need.

Maybe they knew about a threatened similar demonstration at the Medina school.
