Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas.-Deputy Secretary of Quality and Hospital, Am?rico Villarreal Anaya reported that during the last week there were 20 thousand patients from respiratory diseases, causing an increase of up to 30 percent of hospital occupancy.
However the health sector has the capacity to meet the growing hospital patients by the rainy season, and that 70% of hospitalizations are for emergencies.

Anaya Villarreal said the main reason why people are hospitalized are diseases of the airways, which rebounded on these dates, as well as decompensation in patients with diabetes, hypertension and heart failure, this is because they lower the defenses.

"The severity of cold fronts and the extension of the same may increase from 20 to 30 percent occupancy in hospitals. The indicator is that we have 1.6 beds per thousand people, then we do have capacity."

The under secretary of Hospital Care Quality and commented that more patients are older than 60 years and children under five, as these are the most likely for its low defenses.
