The volcano Chaparrastique of El Salvador presented a significant increase in microseismic since 12 March, so that the authorities asked people to stay at least two miles away as a precaution.
The National Service of Territorial Studies (SNET) said that from then until 07:00 am on Monday, this increase has been reflected in the number of microearthquakes and the size of the amplitude of seismic signals in real time (RSAM) .
Typically, seismic amplitudes fluctuate by an average of 50 units per day, however from 13 March, they reached the 121, a condition that remains to date.
Last Saturday amplitudes were from 313 RSAM units on Sunday, 20 of the same month increased to a value of 414 units and up to 07:00 am on Monday reached the 251 units, "exceeding the normal condition."
The vibration of Chaparrastique volcano, located in the eastern department of San Miguel, some 125 kilometers from the capital, has 163 seismic amplitude RSAM units.
The colossus has shown similar increases in seismic amplitudes in previous years, as the August 9, 2010, without presenting demonstrations or other visible changes in their activity.
During inspections, volcanologists observed pulses of gases of the crater, elevation 200 meters.
The network of observers who live in the area of Conacastal cantons, hamlets and Blue Stone's Piedrita small report small vibration and hear the volcano rumbling.
This microseismicity is related to processes of intense degassing within the volcano and rock fractures.
Shown by experience in previous years it is likely that the volcano's activity returns to normal gradually, but not excluded that in the future to an eruptive event, the report added.
