In Bashkiria, for the first time, a case of bird flu was detected, an epizootic investigation is underway. This was reported by the veterinary department of the republic.

"Despite the measures taken to prevent the introduction of especially dangerous diseases, for the first time avian influenza entered the territory of the republic," the release says.

Previously, the geese of LLC "KFH Altyn-kaz" of the village of Bishkuraevo, Tuimazinsky district, which were infected, were kept in the area near the lake, where both birds of the farm and migratory birds could easily get there. And wild birds are the main carriers of this virus. Probably, on the reservoir there was a contact of migratory birds with domestic ones.

Owners of a farm that contains more than five thousand heads of geese are advised to close all pets and keep them in a free-range mode to exclude contact with wild birds; do not release them into water bodies and do not buy feed from unknown manufacturers.

In August, Life said that two cases of human infection with the H5N6 bird flu were recorded in China. In total, 37 incidents have been identified in the country since 2014, including five discovered this summer. In all episodes, the virus was not transmitted from person to person.
