Yes -- I think that the authorities are trying to say that the bf problem has been dealt with now -- there's no more bf in the area -- no danger to human health or life. It's not clear from this article how they can say that.... Not sure that they culled 46 chickens -- could've been that 46 chickens succumbed to H5N1. In any event, we are less 46 chickens in the world today.

Sounds like 46 chickens actually died from H5N1 and the remaining (unknown number) were culled. See the penultimate paragraph of this article....
