The State Sanitary Surveillance Agency of Brazil (Agevisa) confirmed on Thursday (23) the death of a man of 47 years by influenza A H1N1 flu, which took place on April 24 in Tropical Medicine Centre of Rond?nia (Cemetron). The patient was deCujubim municipality, about 160 kilometers from Porto Velho. The campaign of immunization against the disease was extended until 31 May day throughout the State. according to the Director of the Agency, Arlete Baldez, his Cemetron man on April 23. 'The patient had a severe cough and respiratory failure, answered little to stimuli', says the Director. Before the symptoms was recorded the suspicion of the disease and the treatment started, but the patient succumbed and died the day after the hospitalization.
