Another 24 cases of swine flu were confirmed in Romania last week.
The total number of people infected with A/H1N1 virus thus reached 375, announced today the Ministry of Health.
Of the total new cases, 15 were recorded in the county of Iasi, in a campus outbreak of the Center for International Exchanges of Students Gaudeamus.
Other cases were registered in Bucharest, Cluj and the counties of Mures, Sibiu and Prahova.
Last week, hospitals across the country have provided care to over 80,000 people with respiratory infections.
Compared to the same period last year, the number of illnesses increased by 20%.
Salons are full of children with laryngitis or pneumonia.
