Rio Grande do Sul register another swine flu death

The Secretary of Health of Rio Grande do Sul confirmed Tuesday that another death caused by influenza A (H1N1), called the swine flu in the state. The victim is a man of 45 years who lived in Uruguaiana. Therefore, the number of deaths in the state rose to 19. In Brazil, the total of deaths reached 56.
According to the secretary, the man had no preexisting illness and died on Monday (27).
Earlier, the city of Caxias do Sul had released two deaths: a woman of 18 years, history of chronic lung, who died 20 days and a man of 62 years, heart disease, who died on 25 July.
Today was also the first confirmed death due to disease in the Northeast. The victim is a student of 31 years, who lived in Jo?o Pessoa, in Para?ba. The boy died in the early hours of today at University Hospital Lauro Vanderlei, located on the campus of UFPB (Federal University of Para?ba), where he was hospitalized since last April 21.
The State of S?o Paulo also confirmed seven deaths caused by flu, bringing the total to 27 in the state.
