09/07/2014 ? Confirmed presence of H7N9 virus in poultry, Henan (National Authorities, OIE)
The virological finding in Hualong District, Puyang City, Henan Province [already reported in the animal influenza update issue 620 released on 2 July 2014 as below] has now been reported to OIE. Out of the 30 samples collected on 3 June 2014 in one market* in Hualong District, Puyang City, Henan Province, 2 swab samples tested positive for H7N9 by RT-PCR.
[*correction: it was 2 operations in 1 market].
