Outbreak Of Flu Prompts Postponement Of Football Game
An outbreak of flu among members of the Reading High School football team has prompted officials to postpone tonight's homecoming game against Warwick High School. The game has been rescheduled for tomorrow night at 7:00 at Shirk Stadium.
School officials tell 69 News that six students who are players on the team were sent home with flu-like symptoms in recent days. They also say "a significantly large number of students" failed to report for yesterday's practice. They stress that none of the illnesses appears to be swine flu.
