Qld scientists develop swine flu vaccine

Scientists at the University of Queensland say they have developed a vaccine for swine flu.
The discovery will be announced at the university's Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology Monday morning.
A spokesman says it's one of the first swine flu vaccines made, but unfortunately it can't be used in Australia yet because it's not yet registered for use in Australia.
Meantime, scientists from the Melbourne-based CSL say they have developed an effective test batch of a vaccine, but still need to conduct human trials.
The government has ruled out releasing the vaccine early, for fear of unexpected side effects.
