Public should double check the type and dosage of vaccine being administered

With the high volume of shots being administered, the odds of an error goes up.

Be informed as to which type of vaccine is appropriate for your circumstances and double check to see that is what you're getting. Also check that the dose is correct, i.e., that only adults are getting the adult dose and that children are getting an age appropriate dose.

This is something that everyone should do anyhow - whenever they pick up a prescription or if they or a loved one is hospitalized - check the meds. I've never met a HCW who didn't appreciate the extra care.

A boy in Oregon was vaccinated at his school against his mother's wishes (she signed a note saying NO). So perhaps this thread should also include impressing on young children to be aware of what their parents expect for vaccination at school.
