MARIVELES, Bataan, October 2 (PIA) -- Health officials have joined forces in search and destroy operations to curb the Chikungunya outbreak in Mariveles, which affected over a hundred people.
A team from the Provincial Health Office (PHO), Municipal Health Office (MHO), Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office and barangay tanod has been staging fogging operations in the 18 barangays of the town.

MANILA, Philippines - The Department of Health recorded twice as many cases of "chikungunya" from January to November this year at 1,609 while 561 cases were recorded in 2012.
