LIMA | The presence of pets on the beach and pools are a health hazard to holidaymakers because they can transmit several parasitic and bacterial diseases through their feces and urine, as well as cause accidents by bites, said Coordinator Zoonosis Health Strategy of the Ministry of Health (MoH), Ana Mar?a Navarro.
Therefore, urged people not to take their pets to these places of public entertainment as defecation and urination in the sand or water, these areas contaminated with pathogens that are harmful to human health.
"At this time of year the beaches are full of people and, especially, children. They are the most vulnerable to these accidents, especially when infected by disease as they play with sand and carry the objects in his mouth" said.
