Peru - increasing Swine Flu deaths

Note that between two weekly (?) reporting periods in Peru the death toll from H1N1 jumped from 45 to 62. Seventeen new deaths were reported and represent about a 30% increase. The death toll from H1N1 in Peru needs to be watched very carefully. Below is the Peru MOH official communication through the week ending August 16th.

Also, in previous threads posted by Shiloh, there were 145 suspected deaths being investigated (can't find the post), and a total of 621 deaths this year due to pneumonia (http://www.flutrackers.com/forum/showthread.php?p=283627#post283627). Although many of these deaths might not be H1N1, many others probably are.

The death toll could be significantly higher than the official number.
