Alert for outbreaks of infectious diseases in Arequipa

Arequipa, 02/15/2011 (CNR) - The Regional Health Management Arequipa held an emergency meeting with the Sanitation area of the city to prevent an outbreak of disease, after the drainage system and drainage collapsed parts of Arequipa.

The Regional Health Director, Hector Flores Hinojosa said his team is focused on prevention of acute diarrheal diseases and infections such as pneumonia. He said that although so far not recorded any infected person to continue alert for the drainage system collapsed and drainage, public health is at risk.
