Paran? registers 283 swine flu deaths in 5 months

The Department of Health of Paran? said on Monday that over the last five months were recorded 283 deaths from flu.

According to the secretariat, since the 20th of June were 35,474 cases confirmed by laboratory tests and clinical criteria. Other 11,283 suspected cases tested negative. Of the confirmed cases, 1,149 are women, equivalent to 3.2%. The region has the highest number of infection among pregnant women is Curitiba with 359 cases.

Sites with highest number of confirmed cases are Curitiba (1413), Londrina (3812), Cascavel (3382), Pato Branco (2624) and Francisco Beltr?o (2391). Since the places with the highest number of deaths are Curitiba and region (85), Rattlesnake (22), Maring? (21), Foz do Igua?u, (19), Campo Mour?o (14), Londrina (14); Jacarezinho (13) and Toledo (12).

Since the 20th of June were 35,474 cases confirmed by laboratory tests and clinical criteria, and 283 had complications and died. Other 11,283 suspected cases were negative for swine flu.

Deaths were recorded between July 14 and November 12. The survey by sex 55% of deaths were women and 45% of men. The age, 61.8% of deaths were of people who were between 20 and 49 years, 19.8% between 50 and 59 years and 9.2% between 5 and 19 years.

The regions with the largest number of confirmed cases are a great Curitiba, with 11.413, Londrina, in 3812, Cascavel, in 3382, Pato Branco, in 2624 and Francisco Beltr?o with 2391.

The May number of deaths was also recorded in Curitiba and metropolitan region: 85. Then comes Cascavel (22), Maring? (21), Foz do Igua?u (19), Campo Mour?o (14), Londrina (14), Jacarezinho (13) and Toledo (12).

Of the 35,474 confirmed cases in the state, 1,149 are women, representing 3.2% of the total.
