An official with the Palestinian Energy Authority in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday that the only power plant in Gaza, which provides one third of the electricity sector, stopped working entirely, blaming Israel for it.
The Energy Authority at a news conference to announce stops the power plant only in the Gaza Strip to work and hold the Israeli occupation of responsibility.
The authorities in Gaza say the Palestinian territory's only power station has shut down because of a lack of fuel. The closure is believed to be caused by a shortage in fuel being supplied through smuggling tunnels from Egypt.
Power cuts, already common, are expected to increase. The station provides around 30-40% of Gaza's electricity.
