As reported in this paper, experts are of the view that as many as 22,000 cases of malaria were reported in the province between August and October this year but there is a chance, given the poverty and lack of health facilities in many rural areas, that several more may have gone undetected.
Malaria spreads in RYK, dozens hospitalised

Rahimyar Khan?After deadly dengue virus, malaria has hit the citizens of Rahimyar Khan as dozens have been hospitalised across the district after being affected of the disease.
According to details, at least 20 people, mostly women hailing from different areas of Rahimyar Khan have been admitted to various hospitals during the last 24 hours. On the other hand, number of dengue patients have decreased as the temperature lowered due to winter.
