Bird flu detected in Pindi Bhatian
RAWALPINDI, April 30 (Online): Following the detection of bird flu avian influenza in Islamabad, Charsadda and Abbottabad, the virus has been confirmed in Pindi Bhatian here on Sunday. Sources informed that one thousand chickens have been culled while direction has been issued for the test of employees of concerning poultry farm. Doctor teams inspected after the killing of chickens at Cheema Farm instantaneously and detected the dangerous virus and subsequently directed to cull the hens in the farm, local sources notified. However, human virus influenza cannot be detected, sources informed. Provincial Health Minister Tahir Javed directed authorities to keep the employ aloof from the common people in order to prevent the expected disease. Talking to private TV channel, he stated that direction had been issued in the province that any owner of farm found the clues of virus, registered their reservations immediately in this regard. He mollified that no human virus influenza confirmed in the country till now. Moreover, he directed the Live Stock and DO to take prompt action against the clue of virus influenza aviation.
