[TD="class: views-field views-field-body"]In 2025, between epidemiological week (EW) 1 and EW 37, 11,313 measles cases were confirmed in the Americas Region, including 23 deaths, in Argentina (n= 35 cases), Belize (n= 34 cases), the Plurinational State of Bolivia (n= 320 cases), Brazil (n= 28 cases), Canada (n= 4,849, including one death)2 , Costa Rica (n= 1 case), Mexico (n= 4,553 cases, including 19 deaths), Paraguay (n= 35 cases), Peru (n= 4 cases), and the United States of America (n= 1,454, including three deaths) (Figure 2). This total represents a 31-fold increase compared with the 358 measles cases reported during the same period in 2024.[/TD]
