PHILADELPHIA (WPHL) — The Philadelphia Department of Public Health is warning travelers and commuters about possible measles exposures connected to a person who recently traveled through the city.
Health officials say the individual with measles was at Philadelphia International Airport in Terminal A East on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, between 7:50 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. The same person was also at William H. Gray III 30th Street Station that night from 8:15 p.m. to 11:25 p.m.
In addition, the Health Department says there may have been exposure aboard Amtrak Northeast Regional Train 175 traveling southbound. The potential exposure window runs from the train’s scheduled stop in Philadelphia at 9:23 p.m. through 11:30 p.m. That train made scheduled stops between Boston’s South Station and Washington, D.C.’s Union Station.
Officials say the individual with measles was traveling through Philadelphia and that the overall risk to the general public is low. Still, anyone who may have been at those locations during the listed times is encouraged to check their vaccination status and monitor for symptoms...
