The Allegheny County Health Department is reporting that testing by the U. S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has confirmed a measles case, and efforts are continuing to find contacts of the case...

...Times, dates and locations where people may have been exposed to the case include:

? The 64 Port Authority bus 9-11 a.m. Feb. 14.

? Main entrance to the Hillman Cancer Center in Shadyside 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Feb. 14.

? Bridgeside Point II Building in the Pittsburgh Technology Center noon-3 p.m. Feb. 14.

? 5215 Centre Avenue in Shadyside, the building that houses Stull, Jarvis and Spinola medical practice and the Shadyside Family Health Center, 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Feb. 18.

100 cancer patients may have been exposed to measles

PITTSBURGH ?

On Wednesday, Channel 11 learned that a researcher could have possibly exposed about 100 cancer patients to the measles.

UPMC's Hillman Cancer Center is divided into two sections -- the research side and the clinical side.

The University of Pittsburgh graduate student who has the measles works on the research side, but she did walk through the building's lobby and that simple act could've exposed about 100 cancer patients to the measles, Courtney Brennan reported...

Allentown measles probe turns up no new cases

The measles investigation started by a possibly infected person at the children's clinic at Lehigh Valley Hospital at 17th and Chew streets in Allentown has not produced additional reports of infection.

Allentown Health Bureau Director Vicky Kistler Monday said neither her agency nor LVH reported further complaints of people with possible measles symptoms ? and in this case, no news was good news...

...Health officials said the potential exposures could have occurred at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg and Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Officials at Pocono Medical Center said they identified individuals who may have been exposed and contacted them to determine their vaccination status.

The patient also received treatment at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville on Wednesday, April 23. Officials said anyone who was in the Foss Clinic from 1 to 6:30 p.m., in the areas of the main entrance, the sixth floor, the elevators, and the outpatient lab may have been exposed. People that rode the shuttle to and from the facility between the hours of 4:15 and 6:30 p.m. may have also been exposed...

The Allegheny County Health Department is investigating a second presumed diagnosis of measles in Allegheny County.

On Saturday, the Health Department said that it is not known if the latest case is related to one reported earlier in May...

Measles case turns out to be false alarm in Allegheny County

A possible case of the measles reported last weekend turned out to be a false alarm, Allegheny County Health Department officials said today.

The person, whom Health Department officials did not identify, tested negative for measles after testing was conducted by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The person had symptoms that were similar to measles, spokesman Guillermo Cole said...
