Influenza Hospitalizations and Deaths Update
Please Note:
As of October 20, 2009, we are updating these numbers daily until further notice. The number of Oregon's confirmed cases reported on the CDC's website might differ from numbers posted here. If there is a discrepancy, data from our website should be considered as being the most accurate and up to date.
The numbers in this table represent hospitalizations and deaths from all types of influenza since September 1, 2009.
Almost all of the influenza viruses identified since then are pandemic H1N1 influenza.
These numbers are current as of 3:30 PM Tuesday, November 3, 2009. Numbers are provisional and may fluctuate due to reporting delays and case misclassifications.

Between the start of the pandemic in late April and August 31, 2009, there were 116 Oregonians from 11 counties hospitalized with pandemic H1N1 influenza. There were also 12 deaths among Oregon residents.
